Aside from music I've dabbled in all things audio, like SFX design! I sometimes contribute SFX while making soundtracks, and I have taken a few SFX commissions, but it tends to be a case-by-case basis. In general, I consider myself a creative, and I've experimented with other fields of art as well. I've done creative writing, drawing, and a few mixed-medium stuff. I also create most of my album covers myself. That said, music is ultimately my main passion and strong suit.
Yeah! I've done a handful of remixes before, though mostly just for study or for fun. Contrary to how it may seem, remixing takes a completely different skill set, and remixing complex pieces can take more time than writing from scratch.I'm not at all opposed to remixing for a commission, but we'd have to discuss details first!
I do not use Generative Artifical Intelligence (GenAI) in my music, album art, or writing. That said, as the technology evolves, I see potential in art tool development. There are already a handful of exceptional developers creating unique, ethical AI tools that aid artists, and I recommend researching the topic if you're interested. Those few exceptions aside, the majority of consumer grade GenAI platforms (Suno, Udio, etc) are unethical, low quality, and just not worth the time. They just suck! There's no other way to put it.In an era where it's increasingly easy to use these tools in corrupt ways, it's important to be honest about it. If I ever dabble into weird local-LLM sound design, I'll talk about it! But as of now, I don't see any reason to start working with AI tools.
